One of the largest of the Greek islands, Corfu is also one of the greenest with a landscape of elegant cypresses and lush olive groves. Even in the height of summer, you're never far from a cool shady spot to escape the heat of the Mediterranean sun. The North East Coast is Corfu at its most beautiful. Here the green hills descend to a series of pretty bays.
The coastline is spectacular with stunning views around every headland. And because there has been less development here than in other parts of the island, it's the ideal choice for a relaxing, get away from it all, family holiday. It's not surprising then that there's a shortage of top quality holiday villas in this peaceful part of Corfu island.

Beautiful Kalami located in the North East Corfu and renowned as the place where Lawrence Durrell wrote 'Prospero's Cell' in the 1930's.
The book brought Corfu to the attention of the English and so began their love affair with the island and their friendship with its people. Yet, despite its fame, this delightful village retains a traditional and peaceful atmosphere and is geared very much towards anyone hoping for a quieter, family holiday. Kalami beach is mainly shingle and slopes into sparkling waters, ideal for swimming and snorkelling. You can also hire pedaloes, canoes and boats with which to explore the 'secret' coves and beaches that are to be found all along the coast. alami does have a small number of bars and several excellent tavernas - of which we can particularly recommend both Pepes and Dimitris - so you will never be short of good places to eat and drink. There are also a few craft shops and mini-markets so. Kalami can provide you with everything you need during.

The small resort of Agios Stefanos is renowned as being one of the most attractive places to stay on the upmarket north east coast of Corfu.
This picturesque fishing village has a charming, traditional feel to it and a beautiful little harbour. Whilst offering a good range of facilities to its visitors, Agios Stefanos has escaped the downfalls of some of the more overdeveloped tourist resorts. In addition to its choice of shops and excellent tavernas, Agios Stephanos has its own small, pretty beach with wooden jettys which are ideal for sunbathing or fishing - or you could take a trip to the blue flag beaches of Kerasia, which are only a twenty minute walk away through some lovely countryside. The stunning Avlaki beach with its watersports, tavernas & dinghy sailing school, is also just short drive away.
